The walkthrough

How RosterHire works

Two sides, one marketplace. Pick your path — from first tap to a filled roster, here's exactly what happens.

For organizations

Post it. Review it. Fill it.

Athletic directors, club directors, league admins, rec departments, tournament directors — here's the whole hiring flow.

  1. Create your account

Choose Hiring / Employer at sign-up. Enter your email, type in the 6-digit code we send you, and you're in — no password, ever.

  2. Set up your organization

Name, type, logo, and location. This is what talent see on your listings — organizations can also earn a verified badge that tells talent a real school, club, or league is behind the job.

  3. Post your opening

Title, sport, level, type, city, and pay — live in minutes at the top of the jobs feed. Add schedule, requirements, and certifications; more detail brings better applicants. Need an official fast? The red Emergency Fill card posts an urgent gig in seconds.

  4. Search talent directly

Don't wait for applications. Browse the Talent tab — coaches or referees — search by name, sport, or city. The Available only filter is on by default, so you see people ready to work. Message them or invite them to apply.

  5. Review & message applicants

Applicants appear right on your job's page — each with a full profile: experience, certifications, rate, and availability. Move them through your pipeline: Shortlist, Hire, or Decline.

  6. Hire & mark filled

Made your pick? Tap Hire — they see it instantly. Then Mark filled to close the listing and free your posting slot. You can reopen it any time.

Good to know: free accounts keep one open listing at a time — mark it filled to free the slot, or go Pro for unlimited posting. Roles working with minors can carry your background-check requirement right on the listing.

For coaches & officials

One profile. Every opportunity.

Coaches, referees, umpires, trainers — build your profile once, then let the right work find you.

  1. Create your profile

Choose Coach / Ref at sign-up. Add your name, a one-line headline — it's the first thing employers read — and a photo. Profiles with photos get noticed.

  2. Add your credentials

Select your sports, levels, and (for officials) positions. Add your city, experience, rate, certifications, and a short bio. Only list certifications you actually hold — organizations verify.

  3. Set your availability

Available, available from a date, or not available — employers filter by it. Set a future date and your status flips to Available automatically when it arrives.

  4. Browse & apply

Filter the jobs feed by sport, level, and type — or search by school and city. Pay, schedule, and requirements are up front. Tap Apply now, and save jobs you want to come back to.

  5. Hear back — or get found

Track every application live: Submitted → Viewed → Shortlisted. Organizations can also find you in Talent search and message you or invite you to apply — you can always reply.

  6. Get hired

Hired 🎉 shows on your application, and the organization messages you to sort out details. We'll even offer to flip your availability off so you stop getting pinged.

Pro tip: set job alerts for your sports, levels, and city — matches are flagged at the top of your Jobs tab. Officials: turn on emergency alerts for cities you'll travel to, and urgent fills are flagged the moment they post.

Good to know

Before you dive in.

  • Browse before you sign up

Anyone can browse jobs without an account. You'll need a free one to view talent profiles, apply, post, or message — it keeps the community's information protected.

  • One role per account

You pick your side at sign-up — Coach / Ref or Hiring / Employer — and it's permanent for that account. Genuinely need both? Use separate emails.

  • No passwords, ever

Every sign-in emails you a fresh 6-digit code. Codes expire quickly and work once — that's what keeps password-free login safe.
